Restaurants are preparing for this year's Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which gives customers the chance to experience local flavors at more than 100 venues at a fixed price.
"The Iron Horse" in Pleasantville debuted the "Astorino Burger" Thursday that the county executive helped prepare. It includes guacamole and tomatoes served with truffle French fries.
"Many of the restaurants feature local ingredients," Janet Crawshaw, restaurant week founder, says. "It really spotlights the Hudson Valley, but also there's such a great spirit of comradery and conviviality that comes from it."
Restaurant week officially kicks off Monday, Nov. 2.
