Local Girl Scouts had the opportunity to soar to new heights at Westchester County Airport as they participated in flight training for “Girls in Aviation Day.”
The group received advice from presenters on how young women can pursue careers in aviation and even had the chance to experience a flight simulator to get a feel for being in the air.
Women in Aviation is a national nonprofit, and the Westchester chapter was established in 2021.
