Today is National Beach Day, but some of the Hudson Valley’s beaches are not allowing swimmers in the water.
The Westchester County Department of Health has taken the step of indefinitely closing eight Sound Shore beaches due to concerns about bacterial contamination.
The affected beaches are as follows:
Playland Beach
Rye Town Park Beach
Beach Point Club
Glen Island VIP Club
Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club
Davenport Beach Club
Greentree Club
Surf Club
