Loaded, illegal gun found during Haverstraw traffic stop
Police say the stop occurred Friday night on Route 9W in West Haverstraw, where officers found that one of the vehicle’s occupants was in possession of a loaded, illegal firearm.

A Spring Valley man has been charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon following a traffic stop that led police to discover a loaded illegal firearm, according to the Haverstraw Police Department.
Police say the stop occurred Friday night on Route 9W in West Haverstraw, where officers found that one of the vehicle’s occupants was in possession of a loaded, illegal firearm.
The individual, identified as 20-year-old Kamani Atterbury, was taken into custody, arraigned and later released.
