Letting you know, you have to bundle up for it. Oh, it's going to be super cold out there but dry though, right? Any sort of rain or snow because I know we had those festive flakes yesterday. But listen, it's going to be layers upon layers. If we're heading out towards the Rockefeller center tree lighting tonight, the winds are also going to be blustery, which is why it's going to feel colder than what the thermometer says. Wind gust forecast pretty much. You're seeing those 15 to 25 mile per hour into the lighter morning and the afternoon hours. So the wind's not going anywhere anytime soon. At least not today. It's gonna make it feel quite a bit colder. So later on this morning again, it feels like temperatures teens to around 20 not much of an improvement this afternoon. So heading out for lunch, maybe pack that lunch though right now before you head out the door. So you don't have to be outside an extra bit longer because take a look at 27 degrees that feels like temperature for Bathgate as well as more Sanny at 26 for Mott Haven 26. For Colum Bay feels like temperature at around noon today into the afternoon and evening. We'll see a little bit of an improvement, but again, twenties more or less. Will we feel like temperatures again? 23 for Park Chester and North Bay Chester at about eight o'clock this evening into the overnight hours. We'll see those temperatures stumble again but not as cold as this morning. This morning is going to be the coldest morning tomorrow, not as cold but still bundle up because it feels like temperatures 23 26 20 three. It's still going to be a cold start. Tomorrow morning, improvements begin into the afternoon as the sunshine comes up, the wind changes direction to more of a southerly wind and that's a milder wind. So the temperatures are going to start off near freezing tomorrow into the afternoon, get up into the middle, maybe even upper 40. So hour by hour, you could see us getting up to about 47 to 48 degrees into the afternoon. The next weather story is actually going to be rain on the way for Friday afternoon. It starts off north and west, but I think by about two or three P ma couple of showers are possible and then likely for the evening commute. There's going to be a little bit of an issue though for Friday evening's commute, maybe make a little bit earlier of a get away there Friday afternoon and then the weekend is looking ok for now, the big, the big thing here is that it will be near 50 degrees. We enjoy that. Ok. So that's the plus side there, back to some normal t rain with that. All right, Alan, thank you one a few minutes.

In terms of the weather for that tree lighting to be cold, feels like temperatures, they're going to be in the twenties. So I know layers is always recommended but add an extra thermal layer or two or three because it's going to be blustery. It's going to be cold. Again, these wind gusts not as high as yesterday, but this is enough to make it feel extra cold out there. Again, about 20 MPH gusts into the afternoon and these will continue into the evening as well. That'll make it feels like temperatures quite a bit colder. So later on this morning, even in the next hour or so again, it feels like temperatures no matter where you are 20 or below if you want to pack your lunch right now before you head out the door. So you don't have to be outside an extra bit. That's a recommendation from me because take a look at lunchtime, this is at 12 noon. Feels like temperatures Bay Ridge, 27 Park Slope, same deal Bushwick as well. 27 Sheepshead Bay and Coney Island 27. So it's going to be a cold afternoon, pretty cold evening. As well. So this is at 8 p.m. right before the tree lighting. And again in Manhattan, pretty much same deal, middle and upper twenties for the fields like temperatures 26 for Flatlands, 27 for Bushwick 27 for winds will slowly subside throughout the overnight hours and the temperatures are not going to be as cold tomorrow morning. I'd still classify it as cold but not bitterly cold. So it feels like temperatures out the door. Tomorrow will not be in the teens. There'll be about 26 for Williamsburg, 26 for Bay Ridge, 24 for Flatland. So not as bad and the improvements really get going into the afternoon. Lots of sunshine just started about 32 and we get up well into the forties. So improvements much milder definitely will make it feel better out and about for the afternoon hours getting up to about 47 degrees for the afternoon. But with this warm weather, we see the clouds on the increase and then here comes some showers into the afternoon for Friday. So it's going to be a wet finish to the work week. And after three o'clock expect some more of the showers could be a little bit heavier at times for the evening commute. So definitely keep that in mind for late Friday as well as Friday evening plans weekend. Not too bad, but a little bit more rain late Sunday. All right, Alan, thank you.

Powers. I did not agree to this bitter blast. I don't think many of us did actually. I mean, this is the coldest air that we've seen. You know, we've had a couple of cold nights already, but this is, it, temperatures are dropping into the twenties and we still have some wind chills. So that's the issue. A few more cold mornings ahead. But notice the difference for Thursday, we're near freezing and Friday finally above freezing for that morning commute. So tomorrow is going to be the hardest day to get through. Make sure you are nice and warm, make sure the kids are nice and warm at the bus stop in the morning. Temperatures near 27 but it's about 10 degrees colder with the winds. That's how it's going to feel and it's cold all day long. It's brisk and chilly throughout the afternoon. Temperatures don't even break 48 degrees. Now, with those winds sticking around, we're going to have a trash cans knocked over again and you know what mine was knocked down this morning. So there's a good possibility of tomorrow's your trash pickup day. They could be knocked over. Nothing stronger than that, luckily the winds will continue to simmer down. But heading into the morning, they pick back up again and into the afternoon. The only difference tomorrow is that they start to turn westerly and this is a sign that warmer air will be coming our way, especially by Thursday, they go southwest. So we still have a breeze but it's all hinging on the direction that the wind is coming from. And right now those winds are coming down out of the north and that is the cold air direction. We have some festive flakes, flurries and snow showers today. And there's a small risk we could see a little bit more for tomorrow. But really, I think most of that came through with that front passing by the coldest air is here now and then it's on the move. By the time we get to Thursday, milder air returns, temperatures get back on track and it's actually going to be normal if not above normal as we close out the week. Now, tomorrow there will be some sun and some clouds on the way, but that sun is going to do very little to warm us up. So make sure you are prepared. I have much more on what to wear. The Bitter Blast logo is up. Once again, we are in it everybody. Good morning to you. Good morning to Matt. What are we looking at today? Yeah, this is the last day of this before conditions improve. But still, it's another day you want to dress in layers this morning and into the afternoon, all throughout the Hudson Valley. It's still a dark and early start into that six o'clock hour. Just before seven o'clock in the morning, we'll have a brighter sky around some sunshine to start off the day and we'll actually see, uh, not really see much in terms of any flurry, like we saw some of those snow showers yesterday, but just this kind of paints a picture of what's going on 37 for the high today. Still feeling like the twenties at best into the afternoon, but tomorrow's high is 46. It'll be chilly at times tomorrow. It can feel like the upper thirties into the afternoon, but not nearly as cold feeling as this right now. And what will feel into the afternoon today. So 13 is what it feels like in Middletown. 22 in Poughkeepsie, right at 20 in white plains 19 in the city of Yonkers right now. So you want the, the gloves, the hat, the coat a few extra layers this morning and into the afternoon. Temperatures again today, mid thirties notice how there's a fair amount of gray by this afternoon. That's just clouds. Not as much in terms of flurry or snow shower activity is what we saw yesterday. Most of today will be dry and then overnight tonight it gets cold again with partly cloudy skies and then tomorrow expect a lot of sunshine on Thursday. It is the pick of the week. Tomorrow, temperatures recover into the mid forties during the afternoon hours. Tomorrow. Here's a look ahead. So big improvements tomorrow, in terms of how it feels outside, it will stay feeling like the upper forties to near 50 most of the next 10 days after today, a period of light to moderate rain showers midday, Friday through early Friday evening, Saturday, the drier, half of the weekend could be a couple of showers. Sunday, better chance for a few showers on Monday before turning drier into the middle of next week.

It was hard for me to get out of bed this morning because I just knew it was so, yeah, it's another cold morning. Temperatures are a little bit of below average, but it's that wind. You can hear the wind rattling the windows a little bit still gusting close to 30 MPH at times and our air temperatures are in the twenties, typical, average low now is 34 degrees. Good morning. Our friends in Riverhead are at 27. You're at 27 right now in Rocky Point, starting off this morning. 29 in Bay Shore 27 from Hempstead, the Valley Stream 28 degrees right now in Glen Cove and 34 currently in Montauk. When you factor in that wind 1020 up to around 30 MPH at times, it feels like 17 from Hempstead to Uniondale 19 Glen Cove 20 in Smithtown 20 we had 25 over towards Montauk. So it's a cold start your morning around s at four today. Lots of sunshine this morning. Some clouds come in during the afternoon and temperatures only in the upper thirties. That's it. It's a cold day here on Long Island. Typical, average high for today is 49 degrees. So 10 degrees below average sunshine this morning, you'll notice a few clouds coming in during your afternoon but otherwise dry conditions. A big story. Everyone's talking about the cold weather, stay warm today. How about the gloves, the hat and a scarf. If you're going to be outside for a prolonged period of time, we have a hyperlocal high of around 39 degrees breezy and cold sunshine with a few clouds coming in during your afternoon hours. Now, we've been dry and cold and the next change comes in during late Friday and through Friday night, we are tracking some wet weather. It will become warmer, but we're going to be looking at some rain on our doorstep. So, going throughout our afternoon, temperatures are in the thirties. It is cold. A few clouds dry for the evening rush hour, dry for the morning rush hour into your Thursday. A little bit warmer weather. Temperatures in the twenties to start today, mid and upper forties for your Thursday afternoon before we track that rain going towards Friday evening and it's gone by your Saturday. All right, recapping today. Highs are in the upper thirties, sun and clouds, breezy and cold weather conditions bundle up more cold weather tonight. Low temperatures in the twenties and take a look at extended forecast. Watching the sunshine, warmer weather. Rizzo is here any flakes in the forecast? No flakes today. But we were talking about that yesterday. A little mood flake that would pass by randomly across the state. A lot of areas saw flakes even for like five minutes or so at times, but others saw it a little bit longer. Right? So here's what you need to know about today. Five things very important, sharp wind chills. It's important to dress in layers, limit your time exposed to the cold outside the sunshine today will actually help you be better by tomorrow with the rebound of those temperatures. I want to teach you a new weather word if you didn't know this word already, it's called Op Preity. Op Preity is the warmth of the winter sun. So I know it's not winter, but you know, when it's like a cold day today, it just feels nasty and then you go outside in the afternoon and it's sunny and you feel that, oh, you know, it's cold but it feels much better. That feeling is called Ric, right? So that's what we're gonna feel a little bit later on this for those who hate the cold. This is something that I look forward to. But hey, if you didn't know you learned something new this. So, so New Jersey, let's take a look at the bitter blast condition. So it feels frigid, it feels sharp today, right? And this disrespectful cold does go away by tomorrow where the weather is going to give us much more respect tomorrow by the afternoon, layers are important because of the wind chill. So the wind will pierce through some clothes. So just make sure you wear the windproof clothing and it will be gusts. West winds 15 to 25 MPH rebounding tomorrow with warmer temperatures and the wind chill as well. It'll be cold again tomorrow morning, but then it feels so much better by the afternoon as high temperatures push close to about 50 degrees across the state. So with Thursday's high, real good, mostly sunny conditions accompany that south westerly winds allow warmer weather to come through. Relatively speaking. Right? And that planner shows that conditions are nice for Thursday with sunshine and calm weather. What happens since Friday? Not much? We do have temperatures back into the forties around 44 in Morristown and the shore down toward 50 to 53. Look Tom's River 53. It's not a bad day, but I want you to be aware, a quick round of showers comes through between four pm and midnight on Friday. And that is very brief. It's a nuisance. It's nothing that's going to be problem. And then Saturday we have a mostly cloudy sky. So just be aware of that, please. Here's that 10 day forecast. I want to highlight Friday for you one more time. As you can see that we end up with some scattered showers across the state of New Jersey from Friday from 4 to 11 p.m. maybe near midnight ending and it's quick. It's just nuisance.
