A bolt of lightning hit Yonkers City Hall Wednesday causing some damage to the nearly century-old building.
City Hall was packed at 1:30 p.m. when people inside heard a loud boom. Witnesses saw small chunks of rocks tumbling off the building. Police and Department of Public Works employees rushed in and closed off part of the first floor as a safety precaution.
No one was hurt by the falling debris.
