DRESS IN LAYERS! While we are looking at dry weather today through Friday, it will feel like the single digits in the mornings and like the teens during the afternoons through Thursday.
Following Monday's light snow, please use caution when traveling as there are patchy areas of black ice on untreated surfaces. With temperatures staying below freezing through Thursday, these patchy areas of ice can stick around for a few days.
Friday will still be dry and cold, but not as harsh as the next three days. Wind chills will be back in the mid to upper 20s on Friday under a mostly sunny sky.
What's with this weekend's snow chance?!
While a winter storm is certainly still possible on Saturday, the trends as of this morning lean more towards a near-miss to complete miss. The blockbuster snowstorm chance that some computer model guidance was showing has backed off that extreme scenario so far today. It is still important to watch closely as trends towards a hit for the lower Hudson Valley can still happen. That said, as of this morning, I do lean towards more of a brush-by with light snow showers or a complete miss and certainly less of a major storm.
We are still close to four days away though and we will get much more reliable weather information starting tomorrow afternoon. Please check the News 12 APP or right here on News12.com for updates each day leading up to the snow chance on Saturday.
