Volunteers from Meals on Wheels partnered with elected officials to deliver over 400 meals Thursday for Thanksgiving.
Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoemann has made the event a family tradition. His 15-year-old daughter, Keira, says she just wants to put some smiles on people's faces.
"I just hope they have a really happy Thanksgiving," Keira says. "They can have loved ones come over, and those meals can just bring happiness."
Rockland County Executive Ed Day was also on hand to make some deliveries with a placemat made by local students.
Meals on Wheels also makes special meals for those with dietary restrictions. All of their meals are low in sodium and heart healthy.
