Leaders gathered in Westchester County Thursday to tout a state program that allocated millions of dollars toward downtown revitalization across the county.
Since Westchester County Executive George Latimer re-established the Community Development Block Grant program in 2019, $41 million in funds went to eligible municipalities.
The funds help programs for projects like sidewalk repairs, park improvements, handicapped accessible vans, senior center programs and more.
Latimer said municipalities were not eligible to apply during the previous administrations because of a non-compliance with a legal settlement.
