As the MTA makes its transition to the OMNY cards, the last MetroCard machine at the Pelham Bay Park subway station has riders feeling nostalgic about saying goodbye to the fare card.

"I'm having a whole farewell moment with the MetroCard. I'm sad," said one commuter, Angela Ozuna.

The MTA announced earlier this year that MetroCards won't be sold after December 31st. Ozuna told News 12 on Thursday that she relies on the last MetroCard machine at Pelham Bay.

"I only reload my card here because you can't find them anywhere else...We take the B line, and they don't take the OMNY yet," she said.

MTA told News 12 that riders can still use the MetroCard in the new year or transfer the value to an OMNY account.
