A person was seriously injured during an incident overnight in Port Jervis.

A large police presence was spotted on Hammond Street. The area of Owen and Pennsylvania Avenue were blocked off shortly after 12 a.m.

Yellow crime scene tape was also seen wrapped around at least three houses near 147 Hammond Street.

Police confirm a victim was rushed to a hospital in grave condition. Neighbors say the individual was shot, but authorities have yet to confirm.
