A large brush fire in Chappaqua caused several homes to be evacuated and shut down the Saw Mill River Parkway for hours Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters say the blaze broke out near Spring Lane just before 3 p.m.
Two nearby homes had to be evacuated. Firefighters were able to contain the fire within a few hours.
No one was hurt and residents were allowed to return to their homes. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
