The family of Angela Bledsoe, whose murder launched an international manhunt shares how the crime and her death are still impacting them till this day.
News 12's investigative reporter Walt Kane spoke with the victim's family about the impact that tragic day is still having on their lives.
Angela Bledsoe was shot to death inside her Montclair home five years ago.
"I shed a lot of tears after it happened," says Gaynelle Bledsoe, Angela's mother. "It was just like cold blooded."
Angela was born in Prince George's County in Maryland. Her father Ray Bledsoe says he never doubted how successful his daughter would be.
After graduating from Florida, A&M, Angela had a successful career as a financial advisor and eventually fell in love with attorney James Ray. Her family says at first the two seemed happy together.
"At the time they were dancing together," says Lisa LaBoo, Angela's sister. "They were cute. They were happy. He swung her around. And you know, they were just having a good time."
"She's going to do wonderful things," says LaBoo. "And I told her, I say you've had a lot happen, but you're not alone. We are here for you."
