Kingston man sentenced to up to 7.5 years for drug smuggling

Before being sent to state prison, correctional officers discovered concealed contraband inside his body, according to the district attorney's office.

A Kingston man will spend up to 7.5 years behind bars after pleading guilty to drug charges and conspiracy to sell drugs, the Ulster County District Attorney's Office announced.
Peter Bonavita, 49, pleaded guilty in June to the charges.
