Drivers who normally travel along Kings Highway will need to take a different route this week.

The railroad crossing along the roadway closed down Sunday and will be closed through Friday.

CSX railroad crews will be conducting scheduled maintenance along the tracks, and the crossing needs to remain closed until all repairs are completed.

It's important to note that this is an around the clock closure. Police suggest people who normally drive this route should plan to go a different way for the week.

There are detour signs posted in the area to help drivers get around, but police say it's better for drivers to plan out a different route and avoid the area all together.
