Kermit the Frog hopped into a room of reporters Wednesday as illusionist Rob Lake gave a spellbinding preview of his upcoming show.  

The press event opened with Lake performing a large-scale illusion – including a sawing-a-woman routine that drew audible gasps from the crowd, before moving into short on-camera interviews with the pair. 

Kermit and Lake spoke about the inspiration for their collaboration and why both magic and the Muppets continue to resonate with audiences of all ages. 

"I want people to be inspired, and I think that now more than ever we need that wonder, that inspiration, and even for a second, the harshest skeptic, even for a second, they kind of surrender and say, 'Maybe, just maybe anything is possible,' and that's what magic does,” said Lake. 

Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests the Muppets will begin on Nov. 6 and run until Jan. 18, 2026.
