Kent man faces federal charges of sexual exploitation of an infant, child pornography

Two people, including a Putnam County man, were arrested and are now facing federal charges of sexual exploitation of an infant and child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 38-year-old Cory Matthews of Kent was indicted in federal court after being arrested last month. He is now accused of incest, rape, and predatory sexual assault against an infant.
Investigators say the new charges were brought after pictures and videos were found on Matthews’ phone. He was initially arrested following a tip that he was distributing child sexual abuse material.
A Pennsylvania woman has also been indicted for receiving those pictures from Matthews.
