Kids who take part in JustinTime Baseball had a chance to meet and learn from a professional baseball player.

New York Mets catcher Tomas Nido held a two-hour clinic at Flowers Park in New Rochelle on Monday.

Nido says he’s doing his part by giving back to the community.

"You have to put the work in everyday and no matter what role you're in,” he said “You have to be prepared, be a good teammate and be ready for when the opportunity's there.”

The kids also got a free autograph and picture with Nido.

JustinTime Baseball is a youth baseball development program in Westchester County.
