A teenaged gunman was sentenced to 20 years to life Monday for fatally shooting a hip hop party promoter and known Bloods gang leader outside a New Rochelle club last fall.Rodney Alston Jr., 18, told victim Dacheau Brown?s family he wished the shooting had never happened and that he was sorry. Prior to sentencing, Alston Jr. repeatedly denied he had shot Brown outside the Eclipse Nite Club. Police say the night of the shooting Brown kicked Alston Jr. out of the club for rowdiness. Alston Jr. waited for Brown behind a parked van, detectives say, and shot him four times as he exited the club.Alston Jr. later fled to Georgia, where police tracked him down and arrested him. Brown was a popular hip hop party promoter and known Bloods street gang leader. Brown?s family denies he was connected to the gang.
