Television's best-known judge took a break from the bench Wednesday to mingle with some up-and-coming young women, at the Larchmont Shore Club.
Over 50 girls are the newest graduates of the Judy Sheindlin's "Her Honor" mentoring program.
Funded by Sheindlin, and run by her daughter Nicole, the program is designed to get young women on the job training and what it takes to set goals and succeed. "It's a wonderful day for the mentees and a wonderful day to celebrate the possibilities for all people," says Sheindlin.
Shadae Leslie, from Mount Vernon High School, credits the program for giving her the confidence to pursue a career in journalism. "Be engaged with your mentor, ask them questions that's what they're there for. They're there to hear your personal story and to help you out along the way."
