An Ossining judge ordered the man accused of having an arsenal of weapons in his car held without bail Tuesday.
Police say 48-year-old Tarrytown resident Jose Custodio had six powerful assault weapons, thousands of rounds of ammunition, knives, two bulletproof vests and a police scanner when they pulled him over near Ossining High School Sunday. Custodio was employed at Bethel Nursing Home until he was fired in February for allegedly threatening to go on a shooting rampage at work.
Police say they caught up with Custodio Sunday after he followed customers around a CVS pharmacy in Ossining. They say he was a ticking time bomb, considering all the powerful weapons he had in his possession. Authorities credit alert citizens with helping nab Custodio.
