Republican presidential candidate and Ohio Gov. John Kasich is coming to the Hudson Valley.
Kasich is opening a campaign office in Bardonia in Rockland County this week. Rockland GOP Chairman Lawrence Garvey says Kasich's campaign could do well in the Hudson Valley.
The governor will also hold a town hall meeting and rally this Saturday at Iona College in New Rochelle. It starts at 4 p.m.
Kasich is set to make an appearance at the Rockland Republican Committee's Lincoln Day Victory Bay at the Hilton hotel in Pearl River, also on Saturday.
The stops come before New York's primary election on Tuesday, April 19.
Kasich is the first Republican presidential candidate to schedule an even in Westchester County.
