A job training center for adults has found a new, permanent location in Newburgh.
Wednesday was the official grand reopening of Orange-Ulster BOCES. The adult education center has officially moved into the city-owned building at 3 Washington Center.
BOCES officials say the program is in demand and offers a wide range of education programs for adults in the community.
"Newburgh has a high unemployment rate," says BOCES Director James DelViscio. "There's also a high Hispanic population, so we do a lot of ESL classes about learning the language, but there's also a population here looking for skills and training."
Orange-Ulster BOCES had previously rented a temporary space but is now in a long-term lease with the county.
