Jews in the Hudson Valley and around the world are celebrating the final night of Hanukkah this evening.
The Chabad of Yonkers held a special menorah lighting ceremony last night at the Cross County Shopping Center. The ceremony featured traditional holiday songs commemorating the rededication of the temple in Jerusalem where one day's worth of lamp oil lasted eight days.
Jewish families also attended a free Hanukkah concert at the Northeast Jewish Center last night. A local group of performers, the "What's Up" band, performed its newest holiday hits.
