Hillsborough resident Surrayah Fofana, 16, has authored a book based on her experiences as an immigrant from Senegal.
Fofan, who goes by “Ray Ray” titled the book, “Ray Ray paints a self-portrait.” She has been reading the book to children.
All proceeds from the book go to the organization King Cotton, which promotes childhood literacy.
