Across New Jersey on Friday, communities paused to remember the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
Members of the Delran and Riverton fire departments in Burlington County honored the 343 firefighters and other first responders who made the sacrifice by taking on their annual 9/11 Stair Climb.
They climbed 2,310 stairs, the equivalent of the height of the World Trade Center.
It’s about honoring the 343 who ran toward danger, remembering the families and communities forever changed, and keeping their stories alive.
