The son of Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush stopped in Westchester Thursday, campaigning for his father.
Students at Westchester Community College in Valhalla were joined by Jeb Bush Jr. to celebrate the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month, and to target young Hispanic voters.
The elder Bush might be seeking the nation's top job, but recent polls show him trailing behind GOP front-runner Donald Trump. Bush Jr. hopes to change that.
"I think people will get to know dad and his track record and support him," Bush Jr. said.
His appearance at the school was part of a 450-campus tour on behalf of his father.
The younger Bush, who works in real estate, was introduced by fellow Republican Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino. While the executive said that he has not yet endorsed anyone for president, he is supporting the GOP team of candidates vying for the White House.
Bush Jr. also visited NYU on Thursday. He is expected to complete his campus tour at the end of October.
