Today's Columbus Day parade in Eastchester has been rescheduled due to the storm. Organizers say the parade will now be happening on Sunday, Oct. 19 at noon.

However, some rainy weather didn't put a damper on the festivities at the Eastchester Columbus Day Carnival Saturday as crowds gathered at the Lake Isle Country Club.

"We come here every year. We just enjoy the sense of neighborhood, the culture, everything that this festival has to offer, " said Lisa Chiera, of Pelham.

The annual festival boasts 50 years of fun, lots of food and entertainment for the whole family.

"It's always the food, it's the best. It's always so fun to welcome in the fall," said Melissa Davis, of New Rochelle.

John Degrazio, co-owner of Gigante Bar and Restaurant, has been sharing his restaurant's cocktails and food menu with attendees for the past 11 years.

"Everybody is just so festive. It's great,” he said.

The celebration was scheduled to continue Sunday, weather permitting and on Monday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
