Two
Hartford men were arrested for allegedly trying to scam
a 77-year-old woman out of $10,000.
Irvington police say the victim was contacted by a woman who claimed to be her
grandson’s attorney, asking for money to bail her grandson out of a bogus
arrest.
The victim contacted police and
surveillance was set up at the woman's home, where Kylo Simons and
Rayshawn McFarlane allegedly posed as probation officers coming to
collect the funds.
They're now facing grand larceny
charges and are due back in court Feb. 7.
