Students say after more than a year and a half of the pandemic, they are hoping to enjoy this life milestone without too many COVID-19 interruptions.
Freshman students brought covers, clothes, and school supplies as they moved into their residences.
Iona college made the decision to implement full in-person learning this school year, and students say they prefer that. Iona is also offering more welcome events this year compared to last year.
There are still signs that the pandemic is not over. Students will be required to wear masks when in common areas in the dorms and in class.
There is no vaccine mandate at Iona College, but unvaccinated students will be required to submit to regular testing.
