An intense manhunt shut down a part of Route 287 in Harrison during Thursday evening?s rush hour.Police say an officer was pulling over a vehicle with four occupants around 7 p.m. when the individuals fled. The officer called for backup and said he believed one of the suspects was armed. A portion of Route 287 was shut down while police searched the nearby woods. A helicopter and police dogs helped to scour the area.
Police arrested one man on Gannett Drive and a woman on Westchester Avenue, but are still searching for two more suspects. They believe one of those suspects may be armed. Police are not saying why they pulled the vehicle over or what the suspects are charged with.
