Vetal Bonhomme, who was mistakenly released from Westchester County Jail Friday, was found Tuesday morning and re-arrested in New Rochelle.
Bonhomme is accused of killing 27-year-old Paul Laing in Mount Vernon back in January. The two prison workers who released Bonhomme have since been suspended for letting him go.
"That type of behavior is unacceptable," says county Commissioner of Correction Joseph K. Spano. "Both of those individuals are presently suspended and face disciplinary charges."To see comments about the mistaken prisoner release by county Commissioner of Correction Joseph K.
