The Indian Point Decommissioning Oversight Board met with Holtec International Thursday night to discuss how to store and dispose of radioactive waste.

The meeting is a result of the state passing a bill that bans dumping in the Hudson River.

Nuclear experts spoke about solutions to the on-site storage plan.

Holtec proposed three storage tanks that would placed on site.

The Town of Cortlandt is calling for national disposal standards issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to avoid these types of issues.
