State Senator Nick Spano (R-Yonkers) rallied in Yonkers Sunday with other GOP candidates and Governor George Pataki (R-NY) by his side.
Spano was joined by his brother Mike Spano, who is running for the New York State Assembly, and former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer, who is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Democrat Hillary Clinton. Spano even brought in the rap group Phenomenon to perform about the importance of voting. The incumbent Republican is again facing Andrea Stewart-Cousins. He challenged the crowd of 700 at the Polish Center to each get 18 people to vote for him. That was the slim number of votes Spano won by two years ago when he beat Stewart-Cousins.
Spano threw punches at his opponent, saying she?s brought in ?celebrities? like Sen. Clinton (D-NY) and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Eliot Spitzer. Spencer added that Democrats are bringing in ?thugs from Brooklyn? and are ?throwing everything but the kitchen sink? at them.
Westchester and Hudson Valley voters head to the polls Tuesday, November 7.
