COVID-19 is on the rise in school communities.
Several cases impacted operations Wednesday for a district in Duchess County.
COVID-19 cases forced the Hyde Park School Distract to switch to remote learning.
In a letter to the community Tuesday night, the district explained that they did not have enough transportation staff for in-person learning Wednesday because of COVID-19 cases, leaving students and staff to go remote.
So far, the district has not yet announced whether there will be a return to the classroom Thursday or Friday.
At this time, the district says only elementary schools will be operating normally Thursday.
There will be no late busses and no athletic trips but the superintendent says the plan could change in the morning if more staff test positive.
