News 12 spoke with an immigration attorney to find out who is targeted during ICE enforcement operations while those actions are happening in Westchester and across the country.

"We're getting so many calls, people scared. People who just don't know what to do or if they're at risk," said Sarah Lachman, an immigration attorney with a decade of experience and a firm in New York City.

She says people with the biggest risk are those with previously issued removal orders, as well as those who have entered the country in the past two years. While those with green cards should be OK.

She also shared some advice.

"If someone has entered the country within the most recent, two years, they could also be at risk. But if they have not yet applied for asylum. So if someone is in that situation and they are considering applying for asylum or plan to apply for asylum, they should probably get that application in," she says.

As News 12 previously reported, Trump administration officials say ICE enforcement is targeting criminals.
