? Hundreds of immigrants and activists rallied in Ossining Sunday ahead of a planned nationwide boycott for immigrants' rights.
The group marched through the streets and ended in the Market Square. Supporters said illegal immigrants should be legalized because many of them pay taxes. Daysi Briones is one such person who says she came to the U.S. illegally, but now takes pride in her legal status. Others at the rally argued that America was build by immigrants.
The ?A Day Without Immigrants? demonstration is planned for Monday. Immigrants say they will not show up for work, school or spend money. It?s part of a national campaign to show solidarity and the economic impact of the Hispanic population.
