Christmas Eve morning started off with an icy glaze across the Hudson Valley Wednesday, making it difficult to drive or even walk.
Police reported dozens of accidents across Orange County due to the wet weather. By the afternoon, temperatures warmed up slightly, making driving a little easier.
Some who headed out to stores for some last-minute shopping not only dealt with slick roads but icy parking lots. Many say even though the roads were clear, the parking lots were still covered in slippery ice.
Drivers and shoppers are urged to allow extra time and to use caution.
