In a recent statement, a federal spokesperson confirmed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were in the Village of Sleepy Hollow last Tuesday to arrest Luis Pasato, an Ecuadorian national.

According to the statement, Pasato was in the country illegally and had been convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor in 2021.

The arrest was carried out by ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations, which focuses on targeting individuals who pose public safety threats.
