Hundreds gathered Monday to say their final farewell to a White Plains doctor and two of his family members.
Dr. William Homan, his wife, Valerie, and Dr. Homan?s 85-year-old mother were killed in a plane crash on Rhode Island Wednesday. The three were flying back to White Plains from their summer home when the small plane, flown by Dr. Homan, crashed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Dr. Homan, 58, was a 25-year veteran at White Plains Hospital and the head of bariatric surgery. His wife, 51, was a teacher at Mercy College and also worked at her husband?s practice. The funeral for the three was held at Manhattanville College in Purchase.
