Some of the biggest names in New York media paid their respects to the late John Slattery Monday night.
The veteran CBS 2 News reporter passed away suddenly last week after suffering from a heart attack at his Westchester home. He was 63.
Hundreds lined up for hours to pay their respects at Slattery's wake Monday in Mamaroneck.
NBC's Pat Battle, CBS's Tony Aiello and former CBS anchor Carol Martin were among those who attended the service.
Those who knew Slattery say he was a hard-working professional and was willing to do whatever was asked of him.
Slattery's funeral will be held Tuesday in Larchmont.
