Hundreds of 'Baby Bundle' bags will be given out to women who give birth at Good Samaritan Hospital over the next couple of months.
Each bag has resources, including a onesie and a book inside. The idea came from the Ramapo Catskill Library System in tandem with Assembly Member Karl Brabenec.
"Early childhood literacy is of great importance. And we know that providing babies with a book will help them on their journey to be readers," said Jen Park, of the Ramapo Catskill Library System.
Good Samaritan Hospital delivers around 3,500 babies annually.
