Hundreds attended one of Westchester's largest pride celebrations at The Loft in White Plains Saturday.
Now in its third year, many of the events attendees say it is more important than ever to show their pride.
"With the recent political climate there's a lot of things that are discouraging people from being themselves, you know, our youth is the most important to pay attention to because they're dealing with the most," says Fran Cisco, a Loft Pride attendee.
Cisco, once known as Frank, decided to live full-time as a female six years ago.
"My true identity is really as a transgender person and I felt more comfortable being a female. The Loft gave me the opportunity to discuss that with them," says Cisco.
The Loft Pride event also featured drag shows and a dog parade.
Organizers say the event is all about unity and celebration one's self.
