That said, latest data this morning suggests a mainly dry day with that rain chance there, but low. Nice, but still noticeably humid weather moves in tomorrow through most of the weekend.

Tropical Storm Erin remains well out in the Atlantic, expected to strengthen into a major hurricane this weekend. While no direct threat to Long Island, it is still going to bring dangerous surf and rip currents locally next week. The News 12 Storm Watch Team will continue to track it closely.
