A doctor from the Hudson Valley and his wife have admitted their roles in a $1.3 million genetic test scheme.
Yitzchok "Barry" Kurtzer, 63, and his wife, Robin Kurtzer, 62, of Monsey, pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to violate the federal anti-kickback statute.
Authorities say because of the schemes, Medicare was billed over $1.3 million for tests generated from Barry Kurtzer's practice.
Officials say Barry was a primary care physician with offices in Pennsylvania.
The Kurtzer's are scheduled to be sentenced in March.
