A prominent Hudson Valley community activist has been indicted on domestic violence charges in Yonkers.

Frank Flowers, 52, is accused of strangling and assaulting a victim last month in front of a child, prosecutors said.

Flowers faces charges of strangulation, assault, and child endangerment.

He is known for organizing holiday meal drives and playing Santa at local events.

Flowers pleaded not guilty and is due back in court later this week.
