yesterdayA Sullivan County man is accused of leading state police on a chase that began in Putnam County and ended in Orange County.
Police say around 5 p.m. yesterday, a trooper saw a car involved in a hit-and-run crash on I-84.
Authorities say the trooper confirmed the car had been stolen out of Brewster, but efforts to stop it were unsuccessful.
The chase ended in Newburgh. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was arrested.
Holden Gioia, 40, faces charges including possession of stolen property and unlawful fleeing of an officer.
