A hiker is dead after collapsing in Rockland County.
Spring Hill Ambulance members say they got a call Sunday morning about an unconscious person at Reeves Meadow in Harriman State Park around 10:30 a.m. The hiker was about a mile and a half deep into the woods.
CPR was already being administered by bystanders before Park Police and paramedics stepped in to continue those efforts.
Despite their efforts, the hiker died at the scene. No name or age of the hiker has been released.
