(09/10/06) BEDFORD ? After a high-speed chase spanned two towns, Bedford police got their man late Saturday night.
Greenburgh police wanted Ralph Belotti, of New Castle, for an undisclosed incident on September 8. After a Bedford police officer noticed Belotti's car on a routine patrol, the car sped off through a red light. The 42-year-old allegedly drove onto the Saw Mill Parkway, hitting a car near Kisco Avenue. Police say after exiting at Mount Pleasant, Belotti cornered himself on Mill River Road in Chappaqua - a dead-end street. When police barricaded the street using their patrol cars, they say Belotti deliberately rammed the side of one car, injuring two officers. Both officers were treated and released from Westchester Medical Center.
Officials say Belotti was charged with several felonies. Charges include reckless driving and driving under the influence of drugs. A female was in the car along with Belotti, but has not been charged in the case.
