people woke up early Sunday morning to march in Pleasantville to shine a light
on mental health.
The walk is
in honor of Brian Thomas Halloran, a former student at Pleasantville High School who took his own life
while away at college in South Carolina after a long-fought battle with
depression and anxiety.
His parents say they've committed their lives to
being advocates for mental health. A day after losing their son in 2018, they
founded the Break the Hold foundation in honor of Brian and to help prevent
another family from suffering the same fate.
